If your school is ready to take your dedication and commitment to the next level, join us on a journey of learning and growth, and become a member of our Excellence in Aboriginal Education Community

The Excellence in Aboriginal Education Community is for whole school communities that want to make meaningful and lasting changes in Aboriginal Education.

This is your opportunity to be inspired by and listen to Aboriginal voices, leaders, and change-makers throughout the year.

This whole-school membership will give your school access to transformational after-school professional development sessions led by Gamilaroi author and educator Kylie Captain and an incredible line-up of speakers. All sessions are live and recorded and placed on a private membership site for viewing at your convenience.

Kylie Captain and special guests will take you on a journey of storytelling and transformational change where you’ll engage in truth-telling and explore pedagogical practices while delving into good news stories that empower educators to create safe and inclusive learning environments.

All sessions empower school communities to localise and contextualise knowledge to their school community.

Included in your membership:

  • Eight professional development Zooms (live and recorded)

  • Yarning Time, where your staff will have the opportunity to ask questions and consult with Kylie Captain.

  • A resource platform full of educational resources to support staff in authentically teaching Aboriginal Education to all students.

  • Access to a private online community where staff can collaborate with like-minded colleagues from other member schools to share resources and successes and ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.

Your Excellence in Aboriginal Education Membership is designed to support schools to make the difference they hope to see in Aboriginal Education.

Imagine a space where the voices of Aboriginal people guide and inspire school communities to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion all year round. Here, education becomes a journey of understanding, respect, and empowerment, co-creating a future where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.

Let's pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow in Aboriginal Education.

What happens once I join?

Upon joining, you will receive a tax invoice and information regarding your community membership. One week before the first scheduled PD session on Tuesday, 7 May 2024, you will receive links to the Member Resource Site and Online Community Collaboration Space and your Zoom link to distribute to Stage/Faculty groups to join each session.

Speakers for each session will be announced three weeks prior to each professional development session. The Zoom link will remain the same for all sessions for your convenience.

What if my team require assistance accessing the resource site or community space?

Simply reach out via email at info@dreambigedu.com.au or by phone at 0422 210 989.

Do all of my staff need to attend all sessions?

Engagement in our Community is entirely flexible and tailored to the specific needs of your school. For your convenience, all sessions are recorded and placed on a password-protected site, allowing you to access them at your convenience. You have the autonomy to decide how your staff participate. You may choose to have the entire school attend some sessions together while having leadership teams or specific stage or faculty groups join sessions that align best with their needs and interests.

If this is something you feel aligns with your vision, I look forward to welcoming your school into our Community and embarking on this transformative journey together.

"Positive education change and transformation are possible when culturally grounded leadership, community engagement, and empowerment are present and when students are affirmed culturally and they see themselves in the curriculum

and in those who lead."
